This original 5x7 inch abstract painting is part of my 52 Weeks of Colorful Joy series, an ongoing project celebrating color, creativity, and joy, with a brand-new original painting released every Friday throughout 2026.

Bold, playful, and full of layered detail, this abstract piece combines vibrant color with expressive mark-making and hand-lettered words. The phrase “follow your dreams” is painted directly onto the canvas, serving as both a visual focal point and a gentle daily reminder. Collaged elements throughout the piece include bits of my own paint palette alongside textured papers, adding depth, movement, and a sense of joyful spontaneity.

The gallery-wrapped 1.5 inch thick sides are painted to complement the style and colors of the artwork, creating a finished, frame-free look that allows the piece to be displayed and enjoyed from every angle.

Finished with a protective semi-gloss varnish, the surface has a subtle sheen that enhances the colors while protecting the artwork over time. Colors may vary slightly from screen/photos to original artwork.
